The Standard Model and Beyond
Our group studies the fundamental physics of the universe across a wide range of time and distance scales. Our starting point is the Standard Model of particle physics, which successfully accounts for every piece of data accumulated at particle colliders over the last 50 years. Despite that, we know the Standard Model must be incomplete, and new theoretical frameworks are required to explain the small value of the Higgs mass, dark matter, and the dynamics of inflation, to name a few. Our group’s interests include lattice field theory, collider physics, dark matter detection, early universe cosmology, the hierarchy and strong-CP problems, and formal topics in quantum field theory.
